Description	We developed a browser-based complaints recording and management system from an Access based system used by the Environmental Health Department of a smaller local council.

Details	This was a 20-day project involving the conversion of an Access application into an ASP.NET application. The original Access application had about 20 data input forms and a dozen or so reports. We developed a browser-based replacement application which replicated the data entry and editing functions, allowing users to record details of complainants, incidents, locations, notices issued, actions taken and resolutions relating to complaints about noise, pollution and other environmentally harmful incidents. In conjunction with the main system, we developed a series of reports in SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 and delivered them as a package of reports. These reports were accessed by a menu in the application, rather than via the normal SQL Server Reporting Services interface. The main application also included an online lookup into the National Land and Property Gazetteer. We supported the system on a ‘support incident’ basis for a year after supplying it.
