| Brief | To pick up the support on an existing Access application which monitors contracts, shipments and invoices relating to trades in frozen seafood. The original brief was to complete the development and support the application. A later brief has been to redesign the application so that enhancements can be made more easily. |
| Description | We took on support and development of an existing Access application and completed the development to the original specification. We supported the application from 2002 to 2011, at which point it was agreed that we would redesign it. The redesign was completed in 2013. |

| Details | This system was written as a bespoke application in Access. The database design was too flat for ease of alteration, and needed updating. We have made many updates and amendments to the application since we took over support in 2002, including writing bespoke reporting for it in the style of our own Data Mining product, and adding an estimating system. As a background job over a couple of years we have been porting the application so that it uses a .NET program language, sits on our own proprietary transaction processing database, uses as much of our standard code as possible and can be delivered using ClickOnce. |
