P-Ex Letters
Letterheads in Word
This program came out of a prototype we developed for a client. It stands alone from the rest of the products in the P-Ex family. It creates letterheads in Word without using any pre-existing Word templates - everything the system needs is stored in a dedicated SQL Server database.
The Concept
Ideally suited to organisations with multiple legal entities, departments and offices, who don't want to buy printed stationery for every combination.
Users can create a letterhead for any group company with the address of any office and the name of any department, or simply use their own defaults.
Make the letter, memo, meeting note (or even fax) come from any of the company's designated signatories, with any salutation and farewell options that are defined for your company.
Or simply add a header, footer or logo to an existing document
The address text in the header can be followed by a strapline or slogan in a different style.
Each of your companies or divisions can either use its own piece of text or a series of pre-defined clauses. An additional logo can be placed in the footer

How is it done?
- Details of your various letterheads, memos, meeting notes (or even faxes), and all the standrad text/clauses are stored in a database on your corporate network.
- The database contains details of users, companies or divisions, departments and office locations.
- It also stores size and font information about each Word template (though the system does not use actual Word templates or macros).
